Born in 1976 in a small town in the rural parts of Holland, multi-talented Dutch artist C-Jay (real name Christian Jansen) was fascinated in electronic and experimental music from artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Tangerine Dream from an early age.
At 11 years of age, C-Jay embarked on his first musical forays into digital and analogue instruments, with the enthusiastic love and support of his parents and a local music teacher. His love for synthesizers grew and pretty soon young C-Jay’s bedroom was swamped with analogue synths and drum machines.
C-Jay history is as diverse as it gets in today’s dance music business: record store owner (The Sessions Recordstore), label owner (The Sessions Recordings), promoter of his own events (The Sessions), DJ, composer and producer.
